"I want to encourage those of you who have a student athlete to take advantage of this wonderful service provided by the Heartfelt Projects. We recently lost our 14 year old daughter, Megan, to myocarditis, an inflammation of her heart which had no symptoms. It is crucial to have an EKG & Echo prior to participation in school sports. These tests are offered for a nominal donation, and will provide peace of mind to parents!

-Gail Myers-

Mother of Megan Myers, cross country runner from Dana Hills

ECHO & EKG SCREENING

The echocardiogram 9ECHO) & electrocardiogram (EKG) are the best tools for detection of the risks of sudden cardiac death. These tests can typically cost between $500 and $1,500 and are usually not covered by insurance. Heartfelt Cardiac Projects is teaming up with Sport Performance Institute to offer cardiac screening for a tax deductible donation of $85 per family member, ages 5 and up.

Protect your family, call for screening appointments today!

Screening is painless, quick and easy! Takes 15 minutes!

In Memory of Steve Ambriz
Hello!
You asked me if there is anything you can do to help Kaitlyn and I, well, there is. As you may have read, Sara Lynn Ward plead GUILTY on Friday to the charges of killing Steve while under the influence. There will be a sentencing hearing on July 27th at 9:00 am (you are welcome to attend if you want) where the Judge will decide how much time she will serve.
This is where Kaitlyn and I need you. Can you please write a letter talking about Steve, the type of person he was, the impact he had on your life/life of others, his work in the community, etc. ALL of the letters will go in Sara Lynn Ward's probation file which will be READ by the Judge Before the hearing. These letters will stay with her FOREVER.

I have attached below a sheet about the Victim Impact Statement.

We are asking that all letters be sent to Jon's attention at City Hall and he will personally deliver them to the District Attorney's office. The letters need to be delivered NO LATER THEN MAY 25TH.
Orange City Hall
C/O Jon Dumitru
300 E. Chapman Ave.
Orange, CA 92866

PLEASE PASS THIS ALONG TO ANYONE WHO YOU THINK MAY WANT TO WRITE A LETTER.

Thank you from the bottom of our hearts for making sure that Sara Lynn Ward serves the MAXIMUM time for taking Steve's life.
Love,
Bridget and Kaitlyn

Put Your Heart Into It Mark Your Calendar for the Kirk Spencer Fun Run/Walk & Tailgater
August 11, 2007
Willamette Park
West Linn, OR

This is our third annual 5K fun run/race, followed by the now-famous tailgater and party afterwards. We created this event in loving memory of Kirk Spencer, an amazing husband, father, friend, and coach who lost his life at age 36 to Sudden Cardiac Arrest. The proceeds from the race are used to help educate about the need for early defibrillation - something that likely would have saved Kirk's life, yet can still save countless others.

Register today to join this exciting and worthwhile event!
